Default New rear (axle to axle)!!! Brake questions/options needed!

OK, so the 3rd party insurance company trumped the dealer's $2500.00 rebuild bill.
They are sending a rebuilt (axle to axle, everything but brakes) from http://www.dahmerpower.com.

So..the dealer needs to move over all brake components from the backing plate and install them on the new unit....

Of course, I am not going to have them put back my old stuff, when I can get a brake job done for free!

I plan on getting new wheel cylinders, brake shoes, drums, and the rubber brake line to the rear.

Where should I get them? I was thinking Rock Auto, but which ones?

Now is when I wish I did all of my research regarding the mid 2006-up rear brake differences

Well, they need to remove and reinstall what I have on the old axle to the new unit.
If I supply new brakes/drums, etc, they will not charge me any additional $.

I cannot see moving over used shoes and drums (or wheel cylinders @$14.00 each, either).
Besides, I am almost certain they have never been changed, and I am at 87K on the truck..

I just don't know what to get, and from where....

P.S. Converting to disc is not an option at this time, as I am getting a 12/12 warranty on the new axle.
I don't need them to come up with a reason to void the warranty!

Oh, I though you meant you were going to get them to put the new stuff on it under the warrantly..my bad...I'm not sure about the brake differences other than the later models have more springs or someyhting like that.....

I don't think the dealer will install customer supplied parts! Double check just in case you buy the parts and the dealer says they won't use them and then you are S.O.L.

I already asked, they don't care as they are not the ones providing the warranty,
I may go for the "special" part mentioned in the SB, if they can give it to me cheaper than the $200.00 they want for the shoes.

I guess I should wait and see what backing plates come on the rear, as the flanges changed in 2007, and whatever I buy may be wrong!

OK, so I finally got my truck back last night. I went with the "expensive" dealer improved shoe kit, and new dealer drums as well. They put the new model drums (08 and up) on, this surprised me. So far, so good. NO VIBRATIONS WHATSOEVER. Now....

Was it the brakes that were causing the vibration, or the differential? Oh well, hopefully it will stay away!

Word to the wise : 3rd Party warranties are HORRIBLE. They had me wait a week until the rebuilt unit was shipped. They told the dealer they would pay for a rental for the whole time, then they claimed they never said that. I had to "kindly" discuss the matter on the phone for over an hour, passing the phone back and forth between the dealer and the 3rd party company.
They came to an agreement (I was not paying $350.00 for a rental) and finally left.

Hopefully I will never need to use the warranty again (1000 miles left). They make it difficult to actually USE the warranty. It was so bad, the dealer is not going to be honoring this particualr company anymore.
