High Output Alternator or Really Bad Electrical System Problem???? PLS READ
i would just get an induction-type ammeter that you can clamp over the output feed of the alternator, turn one the dome light/turn signal all other accessories you want, Does the Voltage drop below 12V? No?
Good - then your alternator is adequate. This means that the alt is putting out sufficient amperage to keep the voltage at a value that says it will not be borrowing power from the battery over and above what the alt can output at that specified RPM. Not dropping below 13V would be a better situation of course
btw mine does it too and has been for the last 3 years

Well they say 1 farad for every 500 watts. So I would say 3 or 4 should do the trick. However make shure u have it on a celenoid that is switched with the ingition. Just incase it has a small draw on the battery.
If you would like I can post some pictures of my setup so you get an idea?

Ok wish granted
keep in mind that we had a very bad snow storm 2 days ago and I did'nt get a chance to wash it yet.
the inverter with a built in compacitor that fits perfictily between the console and the middle seat

The 4 guage wires going up and around my aux switches. So far I am useing 2 of them. One is for the fog lights and the other is for my leds

All of my wires going into the firewall. To the left you can see the stuff for my remote starter.

The wires snake around behind the fuse box to the battery. I used thoes things to tap into a fuse to operate the celenoid from the ignition. I just have it sitting on top of the battery which it seems to be fine there. The second wire coming out of the fuse box is for running lights which sends power to my aux switches under the dash in the second picture.

lol by the way, sorry for playing show and tell.
