I never considered a body lift because IMO, they are ugamug. Too much frame and if you have a receiver on the back it only helps your approach angle and to clear bigger tires.

Now this.. is a lift.

I am pretty sure that it has been determined that he took a dodge ram frame and suspension lift and put a Dakota body on it.

Ya mean my link? I'm pretty sure it's a custom job on the Dakota frame. The article states that he went through junk yards searching for the best parts to suit him. Nothing about swapping frames.

Probably robbed parts from his jeep. He's a hardcore jeeper, very crafty I'm sure. Doesn't mean there aren't Ram parts in it, but not a full chassis swap. The Dakota frame is stout enough to handle suspension like that. But it is a full redesign.

I think that guy should produce a kit. I bet it would sell like hot cakes.

edit.. well I just noticed it doesn't have the octagonal crush zone tube things on the front. prob a different frame

Yessir. I stand corrected. Only had mine a week, haven't been under it much yet. Only able to recognize the missing crush zone.

Gindy, welcome to DF! I think you might want to go over to the Ram section for your question...as this is the 3G Dakota section: where we envy trucks that come with Hemis from the factory.

Yes, you are in the wrong section. I would move this for you but my powers are limited. You could start a new thread in the proper section here:
