Other night driving home I almost hit a deer. On a 2 lane, s-turn highway (speed limit 30-40). I was coming out of my last s-turn (blind corner) and a good sized deer, maybe a buck) was right in the middle...hovering over the double yellow line. Slammed on the brakes, deer had time to run across my truck..driver-side to passenger side. He probably just kicked the bumper running away. 40mph to 12mph in NO TIME. No damage to truck what so ever.
Glad to hear you are okay and the brakes helped you out. Brakes are an often overlooked aspect of performance. The faster you accelerate the better brakes you need to slow you down.
I finally replaced the struts (did the rear shocks in fall) and wow, they dont lie when they say suspension affects stopping distance. Glad to hear youre ok and so is the truck
I got mine at brake performance too. They work great, but I'm surprised that they tend to squeak a little. They are still new, had them installed a couple weeks ago, hopefully it goes away.
