i am a noob when it comes to askin questions about suspension, i just want a more agressive stance and not feel like im gonna drag my bottom end on everything i run over

 

"Sorry, I just saw your post regarding steering dampening. Thus far, the kit packages do not include any upgrades to the steering system (such as a steering damper kit) as we found that 35" tires on the Dakota don't necesarilly require them. However, you are correct that impacts to a larger tire have more "leverage" against the steering system which is felt especially on surfaces such as a washboarded road. Therefore, my associate engineer and designer has looked into this and is in the process of communicating with manufacturers and their distributors."

I hope that he means that he has thought of this already, and not that I alerted him to this, and he has contacted his guys at this time of night.

I will continue to work with these guys and see if we end up with a kit.

I am not gonna even waste my time until I can see an actually website with pictures.. you can do the hard work. What makes me think it is BS is because he does not even explain what his kit has to offer. Nothing about lift height, what size tires can be ran, what 3rd gen years he is offering.

If they wanted to make me even think it was real I would not have used a free blog site. I would have made a facebook account so pictures could be loaded easily, and maybe load some info about this company that no one has ever heard of.

 

I don't blame you, at the time that I saw this blog post, I was putting one up here, that mentioned that I decided to go SAS.

I even bought the installation kit for a Dana 44, and 4.56 gears for a 9.25 all that I was waiting on was what axle I was going to get, there are like 4 versions of Dana 44's.

Once I decide which one, I will get the rest, but I think that I can give it a week, and see if this blog is crap before I spend anything more, I can always put the install kit in as a rebuild in my Jeep.

 

Haha, I never even thought of it so I didn't think to ask about it earlier today...sorry guys. I've seen them used before but never even thought to put them on my truck when I put my 35s on. I guess it didn't cross my mind since I didn't use a suspension lift. When they put the lift on, what kind of stuff should I ask about for the use of steering stabilizers/dampers?
