Default 3.92 gears

where do i buy them? is there anything else i need to get with it? or is it just a straight up swap of the gear and nothing else?

www.ringpinion.com has much better prices then Mopar. You can just swap the gears over, just replace the seals and crush sleeve if your axle has one. You can get a full bearing kit that has everything but unneeded if yours is in good shape.

thx for the links guys, just looking for some more input, the only mods im going to prob be doing to my truck are the fastman/(or)hipotek tb, tuner, and exhaust. just unsure of which gear to get with that setup. i remember someone saying at a certain point your mpg will start to suffer as the gear size goes up. right now currently im looking at 3.92/4.10 gears. any input?

edit: also what brand should i be looking at for the gears? i see there is a few different manufacturers like us gear/yukon/usa standard/etc

A guy reported a few months ago that he went to 4.10s and actually got 2mpg better with his city driving. On the highway, they probably arent the best option

Yeah, no joking around...you will loose about 3mpg on the highway..but it will be fun doing it!
