Default Infinity amp for 2005 Dakota needed to fix my self-imposed dilema :)

OK, so I added my steering wheel radio controls and had had the dealer flash my cluster to tell it I had the controls (added the RDZ package).

Well, on the dakota (at least 2005), the steering wheel radio controls were only available on the Laramie package.

When you add the RDZ package via DealerConnect, it adds the steering wheel controls AND:

Infinity Amplifier
Factory alarm interlock system

SO...

I have DTCs telling me that it cannot find the amp or the interlock!

I can live without the interlock, but the radio volume is set to the level needed to pass to the amp, via two channels (these happen to be the pins used for the rear speakers on the radio plug). The amp controls the volume via the radio dial volume!

Basically I need the amp, because the dealer cannot backout the upgrade.

Does anyone have/know of an Infinity amp (part number 56043289AD) out of a 2005 Dakota? I need the pigtails to the amp as well.

This is the only time I have gotten burned with "undocumented" upgrades...

TIA! P.S. I am going to post something in the "Parts Wanted" section as well, but thought others may benefit from what I learned...hence this post.

Weed from the Ram section was selling an OEM amp. Not the same part number, but maybe it will work. Not sure if he still has it:

Time for an aftermarket head unit or MyGig upgrade IMO.
