Default 05 Dakota Lift

I'm brand new to this site. I have an 05 Dakota 4x4 that I would like to lift up some. I don't have the money to do a full suspension lift nor do I want to do a body lift. Is it possible to get springs to lift the truck a couple inches?

hi welcome there is no existing kit for now till jack my ride show us pictures. you have to purchase a leveling kit+ rear block + u bolts...
or if you dont want to loose time ordering parts here and there go with Rough country kit its 199$ and add 6$ for the 2 shocks boots. I suggest you use your stock shocks til they blow. Rough country shocks included feel a little stiff.on the site its mentionned 2wd..im using it on a 4wd.

And your other question is a really good question thats why i didnt start asking you to do a Dakota Forum search before asking this question..
Anobody heard if we can install springs from an other vehicule to remplace TM leveling kit inside the strut???

I called Rough Country & they said they don't sell a kit for my truck but I did find other companies that do. I think I'm going with a 2" block in the rear & a leveling kit for the front & maybe I'll be able to get 31's on it

I KNOW!!!!!

http://www.roughcountry.com/dodge_leveling_kits.html

the kit is made for a 2wd... BUT IT FITS PERFECT 4x4

the only thing you have to know is what size rear end you have so they give you the good U bolts

first i reveive my 397S kit with V6 small ubolt..they shipped me U bolts for a 9.25 for free because i mentionned it in the order..their mistake!!!

TRUST ME!!! IT FIT YOUR TRUCK!!!!

Welcome to Dodge Forum and the 3rd Gen Section. As Dakota stated, there are limited ways to lift out truck due to horrible design. As of right now there is a Trailmaster 1.5" leveling kit, (strut spacer) A daystar 2" leveling kit (strut spacer as well), rear blocks, and a 3" body lift. There are talks right now of a suspension lift now but nobody knows if that is going to happen. If you have any questions there is somebody here that can help you.

I really appreciate all your help guys. I ordered the 1.5" blocks for the rear and the 2.5" spacers for the front. Now the question is, what's the biggest tire I can put on here? I will be using a 16" rim.

if you want to use stock wheels without spacers and you dont mind about trimming inner fender well

265 75 15 with just leveling kit

255 85 16 with bodylift ( it was rubbing bad against frame on stock wheels with 1/4 spacer with 285 75 16)
