I get about 430km on 70litres of gas. I'd say 400 of these ae spent on the hwy. I was hoping for better milage but its a truck.

These trucks are only rated 14 city, 18 highway under ideal conditions. These are not trucks for people looking for good mileage....

I get about 13 mph all yr round. Then again my truck is limited slip AWD. U should get about 15-20ish. Try laying off the gas a little, LOL.

Who cares about gas mileage ...... you did know there was a V8 under the hood when you bought the truck. If you're worried about squeezing MPGs out of a Dakota, you should just drive a Prius.

Winter gas or not, I'd give the truck a once over, especially since you just got it. The original copper cores don't give good mileage after 25-30K. Make sure the air filter is clean. Cleaning the throttle body is a good idea too. Gas prices up here are through the roof, so every mile you can squeeze out of it is worth it. Make sure tire pressures are right too.

Had one of those in a mid-80's SR5. It sure didn't make any power (top speed 75mph with 33's), but you couldn't kill those things.

Yea, mine's AWD too. With the new 4.7 though, I'm getting almost identical mileage in the 08 auto tranny AWD as what my '05 4WD 6spd got.

True story. What sucks is it was a lot easier pill to swallow at $2 bucks a gallon than it is at 3.50 or $4...
