Default factory radio max volume

so i use the aux input on my non uconnect radio....the input is a lil lower than am/fm....i can turn the radio all the way up and its not loud enough...it stops at 38, is there a way to make it go up to 45 (prob more than enough)

the speakers arent distorted at all at that level so im not worried about turning it up a lil more

do these trucks have a factory amp? if i change the head unit do i have to pull the amp to have the head unit power the speakers?

What are you plugging in to the radio? My Droid doesnt give enough volume for the aux input to make it loud enough for my taste, but an Ipod does.

If you have the infinity system there is an amp. I have the infinity system and I still have to turn the volume to max on my zune in order to get any decent sound and then i still have to turn the radio volume way up higher than normal.

Yeah, the root of the problem is most likely the phone. It just doesnt go loud enough. Try a different MP3 player or a laptop and see if the result is differnt.

If I try plugging my droid in to my stereo, the same thing happens. I dont know why the Droid volume output sucks.

i got a lil more by using dsp manager and pegging the eq on all levels to max

ironically bluetooth is lower than hardwired and hardwired is lower than radio

might just build a inline headphone amp and shove it in the middle

ill destroy my sound quality one way or another

idk if it is infinity radio...doesnt have infinity on the head unit

Infinity systems have 6 speakers, 4 full range in the doors and 2 tweeters mounted high on the front doors, these tweeters say "Infininty" on them. You cant tell by looking at the head unit, they are all the same. The infinity system has a separate amp under the rear drivers side passenger seat.

My stock radio only goes up to 38. Aux or not. I have the Uconnect system on my car but i dont think the radio unit is any different, the uconnect is attached to the rearview mirror not the radio.

Anyways my in-dash gps gets here tomorrow =D
