I did EGR first, then TPS, neither worked. IAC is what cured mine.

I have a barely used IAC around my garage somewhere if you want it. Bought 2 from the Dodge dealer when I was having idle issues.

IAC is always a possibility, we need to know what code you are throwing. 300 to 1500 to 300 rpms is quite erratic for a dirty IAC, maybe a faulty one.

Plus with the motor trying to stall/die when you come out of throttle really suggest EGR to me. EGR codes usually go from P0401 to P0406. Mine did the same thing. I changed the throttle position sensor, and cleaned the IAC but that only helped a little. Changed the EGR valve and one cammed/blown engine was screaming once again. Your best bet is get the code checked (autozone does it for free) and clean the IAC to rule it out.

Good luck.

Thank you all for your help, I appreciate it and I am a big fan of this forum. I have looked into it and it does sounds like an egr. The thing is, this problem is intermittent. This morning when I started the truck, I noticed the check engine light was off and I had none of the problems I have been experiencing. The truck ran beautiful all day. I am still bringing the truck in tomorrow to get it checked out, but Its funny how all of a sudden it is cured again when i did nothing at all to the truck.
