Default 'Check engine' light came on

So I was driving around the other day and my 'check engine' light came on. So I put the code reader on and the code was P0404 which is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Range/Performance, so I guess that means my EGR valve is either broken or not working properly.

Is there any way I could clean it? or do I just have to order a new one, if I need a new one should I also order another gasket for the valve?
Thanks

I just replaced my EGR valve about 3 weeks ago, it was CLEAN!
I am assuming that the motor burned out.

Since it is in such an "inconvenient" location, do yourself a favor and just replace it.

I bought mine for $37.50 shipped to my door.

if you are looking for the EGR here you go. It is held on with 3 of the most inconvenient bolts.

Ohh and also, the valve is probably working just fine, its just the sensor that has failed.
