I dont know about the drive terrain but I know that the engine can pull it just fine. I got a buddy that has the 4.7 in his quad cab ram and it pulled a truck that was a little over 7,000 with a trailer that was about 2,200 just just fine.

Yes! Im glad for all your guys' imput! Range rover classics are my other passion and im buying a second, but it doesnt have front brake calipers yet...
My original plan was to have my buddy tow it with his '09 duramax, but it breaks down waaaaaaay (3rd time this month) to much and it might not be available when i buy the rover. I will probably rent a uhaul flatbed trailer and tow it with the dakota, but according to uhaul my truck cant to do it and wont let me make a online reservation. I dont think they would really know what i will be towing if i tell them im towing a "lighter vehicle". Well anyway, im glad to see what these dakotas can do!! Those were some cool pictures and advice you guys posted!!

Uhaul told me the same thing when I rented a car hauler to haul my '53 Chevy PU a while back. My Dak towed it just fine although the gas mileage sucked.

Perfect! as long as uhual doesnt give any trouble that is. Besides its none of thier business what i do with my truck. If for some reason they give me trouble ill just rent one on craigslist. Im pretty stoked to see my dak tow such a heavy beast! Thanks guys!

HAHAHA, Thats what he gets for havin a chevy!

That is the same thing that i got when Thunder98110, and I tried to rent a u-haul trailer to haul his Gen2 Dak up to Blown287's house. I know it can do it, cause my dad has a 03 4.7 4x4 dak and he hauled a 94 3.9 4x4 dak with it, and he was passing truckers doin 75 up hill in western Kansas.
