I have 2006 LT Dakota V8, and was wondering if you guys think it could tow a 6000lbs. 1991 Range Rover, using about a 1500lbs. car hauling trailer. It would be towing a distance of about 20 miles. Whats the heaviest load your dakota has towed before?

 

Mine has towed about 6800lbs. It was about a 3 hour trip and had no issues. The terrain was flat of course, but it handled it just fine.

 

i do beleive the truck is rated to like 7100lbs? so ur good, highest load ive done was only 1,000 pounds. lmao

 

Towed a 4 door gmc jimmy on a uhaul car hauler about 400miles. The overall weight should be similar to what you are towing and I had no issues.

 

how about towing the dak with the range rover :P

 

I towed a friends mobile home with complete interior. That thing looked like 10k lbs. Towed it for about 5 miles

Lol, well it probably wasnt 10K lbs but it was definitely up there.

The mitsu has the exact same powertrain as the non Hos dakotas so I dont see why we should envy any of the bigger V8s. These trucks can Haul!
