Default End of an era and beginning of another!!!

Dodge stopped production of our beloved Dakota and will replace her with an unibody truck.

I guess Ford is capitalizing on the end of the era of the Dakota and unveiled the 2012 Ranger WildTrack.

Check it out here and tell me what you think!! By the way , it will not be for sale State side!! For now!

looks exactly like the explorer sport trac. i doubt there is a market for both. did they stop production of the explorer sport trac? if not, it would be dumb to make these two vehicles as in my eyes, they would be directly competing with one another and it's not like there are a sh*t ton of sport tracs selling but hell, maybe there is big enough of a market for a small suv-turned-truck and a small truck-turned-suv-styled-truck?...

side note, i really like the sport trac

Me thinks that, unless you want a full size, we are all going to be stuck with unibody, a-la Honda Ridgeline or Ford Explorer Sport-Trac style offerings in the near future, except for maybe the taco....

Its just time to go full-size guys! They get the same/better gas mileage, plus we can get Hemis and unlimited modifications.

It looks like a ridgeline. My next truck will be a 3/4 ton ram with the cummins

damn right they do. imho i think ford has the best looking 1/2ton 3/4ton and 1ton on the road. not only that but they are built very well. they are built a hell of a lot better than my dakota. now, when it comes to engines, my 4.7L might be the biggest (in its class), and no one can deny the cummins engnine, but the v10 option is quite nice

and for koorbloh stating they have no bed, well hell, wtf did you buy the dakota? did you not want a big boy truck? was the ram too big for you? well that works both ways, not all people need a full size box and for them the sport trac is a wonderful option.
