no but i have done a bit of research on the same thing. and while reading a few reviews a bunch of people said the same thing. just make sure you get a good one or your truck will have a nice high pitch whistle everywhere u go. and also keep in mind that if you live in an area that salts the roads, its probably gonna eat right through the electrical connectors on the motor.. also something else you should consider, the motors that operate these things are usually power window motors(the motor itself) they are probably not going to hold up to the heat that well. just my .02

Since the motor life could no doubt be an issue due to salt, snow, slush, water, etc, you could use a cable operated cutout instead. You could maybe even run the cable somewhere under the hood and connect it to an actuator of some sort so it would still be electric, but the actuator would be in a more sheltered area.

If you do end up going with some type of cutouts I would love to see pics and a video with good sound. I've often wondered how well it would work.

i was considering a cable operated one but ive still read that they leak. but its ur truck. if it's what you want dont let us talk u out of it, im sure you will like it.

thanks but i want to make sere the pipe is 2.5 but i dondt think they would change the pipe size from 05 to 06

u could take a tape measure up to it but im pretty sure its 2.25
