Talking Which Exhaust System (2 to choose from)

I am looking to buy the Flowmaster Super 44:

and the Magnaflow (not sure which one or if there are different ones):

I want a really deep rumble to it. Thanks!!

I will warn you now that the reason both of those are so cheap is because well they are cheap. You will end up replacing the exhaust in 2-3 years. All they are doing is taking a hopefully real and not knock off brand name muffler and selling you Aluminized pipe which will rust out like crazy.

Flowmaster will have a deep rumble, but will drown out the cab, and is very raspy.

I have Magnaflow, low rumble at idle, nice throaty when you move. It has a nice clean sound through the RPM range.

Another Magnaflow vote. I agree that the Ebay kit looks like a home made pipe kit with a Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler. Amazon is running 36% off on Magnaflow systems.

16622 (Dual) $494

16621 (Single) $452

Flowmaster systems also on sale now.

EDIT: You snooze, you lose! Looks like their prices went back up a bit.

The only thing that makes me question that system is it says that it will fit 1987-2008 dakotas. I wonder how its going to bolt and hang under the truck; Im guessing it will take some rigging up.

The first link is the exact system I got, same seller. I'm going on 1 year and there is no rusting anywhere except where it was welded on, but nothing bad. I got rid of the fm super44 after about 4 months gawd that thing was loud and obnoxious!!! Gave me headaches there was so much drone in the cab. I got a magnaflow on now, much quieter inside, and real nice deep rumble outside. I'm not in a big snow/salt area so maybe thats why mine still looks so good. If you like loud and obnoxious and dont care about carrying on conversations with your passengers, or having to blast your stereo all the time in order to hear it, go for the flowmaster. I also had to buy an extra 18" straight pipe because the kit did not account for the front resonator removal. Also had to fab up attachment points for the hangars because they do not use the factory mounting points. Be prepared for a little "macgyvering" if you do the install yourself.

right in the dot. I have the Magnaflow on my 3.7L and I like it alot, get compliments on the sound very often, but it is quieter than a Flowmaster setup would be. So if you goin for subtle 'classy'? rumble use the Magnaflow. If you want a 'look at me' rumble use Flowmaster.

If you want a deep rumble buy a spintech super pro street. I have one on my truck and my dad has a super 44 on his ram 4.7 and my exhaust has a way deeper rumble. I think you can find a clip youtube of a super pro street on a dakota, dont listen to the clips of one on a titan, it's not the same at all. For some reason it makes those trucks sound raspy, but not mine! When I drive by people the exhaust turns head's and I love it!

Thanks for all the comments! I found a clip of a 08, like mine, on you tube with a magnaflow and I loved the sound!

Now I have twin babies and a subdivision life, my flowmaster days might be over.

Is there a certian size or type of magnaflow system to get?
