oh yea one more question i forgot to ask....with the male threads being 5/8 long...how deep is the ram threads? say if i were to use a 1" long 24mm stud. would it go all the way into the ram?

Thanks again

You know what, I did not take a measurment on the internal thread depth, didnt really cross my mind. I also did not get a measurment of the diameter that the inner tie rod nut has to be in order to fit into the recessed opening.

i dont need exact depth of the internal part. just wanted to know if all i had to work with was 5/8? and what do you mean the nut for the recessed part? to go into the body of the rack? i dont think the ram travels that far anyway.

Well the old rack has already been returned, sorry I needed the core deposit back to pay rent.

I think the ram travels farther than you think. You can check that yourself by pulling the boot.

I don't know the depth, but I am sure you can go a little more than 5/8", but do not know.

I went to McMaster-Carr and they had one on the shelf.

Mcmaster-Carr - Nut - #91415A285

I never found a bolt
