I had a Gibson split rear (dual tails straight out the back) cat back system on my '97 Dakota 5.2L and it was awesome. Very deep, louder than stock, but not cop magnet loud. It was more of a throaty, horsepower sound. It actually sounded better if you didn't pound it, around 2000-2500 rpm it had its best sound (so good for fuel mileage lol).

With that said, I put the same system on my '06 GMC Sierra with a 5.3L. Sounded exactly like stock. So, with the Gibson I think which truck you put it on makes the most difference.

If you go on the gibson website they have a bar graph that shows sound levels per manufacturer and the Dodge is by far the loudest, and from personal experience I know its true.

I loved my Gibson on my Dodge, but I've never had a Magnaflow.

I also suggest spending the extra money to get the full stainless system if you plan on keeping your truck. It comes with a lifetime warranty on the whole system, the aluminized doesn't.
