Thumbs up Black Cat Custom Gauge Face Installed !!!!

Just finished up the install
The whole process went fairly smooth. I did run into a snag on the modification of the needles but ill explain that at the end.
And also one more thing in the instructions it rambles on about taking the vehicle to the highway and documenting the location of the needles at certain RPMs and speeds so you can put them back on in the correct location for them to be accurate after the install , Instead what i did was with the ignition in the off position hold down the trip/odometer button and turn the key to the on position.
This puts the cluster into the sweep mode (as seen in the video below) then i used that vid to put the needles back in the correct places
All in all that was the hardest part putting the needles back on very tedious and time consuming

Anyway here's some pictures

Now the snag with the needles.
This new face eliminates the factory needle stoppers so the needles need modification, I did it exactly as in the instructions and could not get the any of the needles to do a full sweep or sit at zero as a result this is what i had to do to make it work

I'm going to contact Black Cat with this problem, in the mean time before you start your install make sure you have a small file to shave down that red nub on the back of the needle if needed .

Very nice, I'm going to be installing mine later this week. The instructions say to file down the cylinder mold, but leave a small section intact the same width of the red block. It looks like you filed down the whole cylinder mold and did not leave that small section by the red block. Or did you file that section out later?

And what tape did you use to hold the tabs. They mention celo tape, what the hell is celo tape.

Ya that's the kicker i did that originally and it didn't work i tried everything
including moving the face around i spent 3 hrs trying to figure it out and thats what i had to resort to its all most like the faces are cut wrong where the needle stops at. That red nub interferes with the sweep of the needles

Like i said im going to email Black Cat with this post hopefully they can shed some light on what i did wrong.
