08 dodge Dakota lift kit...
MAN just toss some money to them(projekt dirt) so we can have a lift. I would have done it before!!! I lost my job and the high angle c.v. joint problem was not tested yet...but as soon as some testing is done i will go with cody's kick *** built... he study all the possibility and find the best four our truck... i am sure big brand of suspension dont care that much..why??? because probabely the owner of that shop probabely not own a dakota!!!and is not on DF everyday!!!!
Sk8ter boy if your 2wd like me....and your serious about this. ive got a 3 over uniball long travel kit i designed for my personal daily driver dakota that is bad ***! this is the kit im encouraging all the 2wd guys to look into given they have the dime. but you can also go with the kit im currently building. it will give lift but no increase travel because it retains the factory strut. it all depends on your budget...and my paychecks because unlike big companies. this is coming out of my pocket.
4wd.....i got some bad news...
the CV's dont match up with any of the aftermarket high angle joints.
you guys have a 33 spline outboard snub which is good! not the problem there. once it gets to the shaft...it turns into a 29 spline...no bueno. race shafts are 33 spline, and 930/934 shafts are 28 and 33. i cant switch the shaft out to a 28/33 spline because it will no longer yoke into the outboard joint....
the drive flange that yokes into the diff is i think a 23 spline (have it written down at work where i made all the measurements) and i cant just bolt up the custom cv because the dakota inner joints are tripod slipped and not bolt on like the GM...
heres the good news....
i can make a whole new custom cv assembly with 934 joints on both inner and outter and retain factory snubs on the end so they slide right into the knuckle and diff....but it aint gunna be cheap.
Im not too excited about dumping more of my personal paychecks into this on the hopes to at least break even. the lift kit im almost done with WILL fit both 2 and 4wd models but as far as cv's go for you guys....custom is the only way. they could be anywhere from 4-500 a pair :/

actually hold my quote on the custom CV thing...talking to an adapter company that works with class 1 trucks that ran into the same problem. i need to take a couple more measurements to see if theyre adapter will bolt up a 930....stay tuned
post some pictures of the cv disassemble
i hope you find how!!!
i need uppers soon my ball joint are scrap
man i dont even have a ballpark for that yet lol. based on the long travel market...im going to be on the low side of the market. so for a fully built front and rear baja capable long travel is going to be around 4-5 with coilovers and shocks.
most companies are about 3800 minus shocks and hardware which you spend another 1000 on shocks. so ill try to keep it on the low side of the market

i would love to have a set of upper around 500$ and 2 high angles joints 200$for both... keep my munroe with leveling kit flip tie rods and change the inner and outer for heims... that would be what i am looking for.
