if you plan on keeping the truck for awhile, do yourself a favor and get the end links from an 08 model (you can get them on rock auto). (unless yours is already an 08+). Those are bigger diameter and stronger that the oem for 05-07 models.

Ahhhh, I'll see if I can get those then. I want something that's going to last.

Both of the part #s I posted are the larger newer version. They are a direct replacement.

If you haven't already go to any auto parts store and pick up a Haynes manual for your truck. Costs about $20, but worth its weight in gold. Pretty easy step by step instructions with pictures for many repair or maintenance jobs. Plus, it helps you identify many of the components for your truck.

The part is the one behind what I THINK is part of the axle, that piece of metal in the front. It's that long one that looks sorts of like a bar bell. It's actually the bottom part, what looks like a ball and socket. The bushing on the bottom one is chewed to pieces and I'm guessing that's what the problem is. It doesn't look the same on the other side and I only hear the noise on that side. I'm getting a bit confused though, some places have the stabilizer bar, the sway bar, and the sway bar end link listed as the same part. Is that right?

I've ordered the part I need. I live 30 minutes from the nearest Advance Auto or anything of that kind so I've had to order it. I guess I'll see when I get it whether it's right or not. Thanks for the info!

I've had one for every vehicle I've owned haha. I was waiting to buy one for this truck because I was hoping I wouldn't need one so soon. I'll be buying one soon though. It's begun!

I left out some information there, didn't I? It's an '07, 6 cylinder engine.

"Sway bar", "ANTI-sway bar" and "stabilizer bar" are all often used interchangeably -- and most often to refer to the entire assembly.

Essentially, what it does is keep the body from rolling side to side. If you try to stuff just ONE wheel up into the wheel well, the other wheel (on the opposite end of that big metal bar connecting one steering knuckle to the other) has to either go up too, OR that bar has to TWIST. Naturally, it resists such twisting.

Sounds like that you want to replace is NOT the whole bar assembly; rather, just the short LINKS that connect the bar to the steering knuckle on each side.

Some local parts stores will carry universal ones that may fit... check measurements and type before you buy em though.
