Default OEM Fender Flares For 08 installed on 05

Received 08 Oem flares to install on my 05 (thanks to coondog05 for telling me they would fit ) I took pictures and will try to post them. The Flares fit perfectly, they do have oversized rivets and if you use them you will need a special rivet tool, fortunatly I had one lurking in the dark recesses of my tool box. The OEM instructions are just pictures but can be followed easyly. However the lower 8mm bolts that are to be recycled on the rear flares (Attached to plastic rear inner fender) were gunked up and snapped when trying to remove them. I thought I would remove the 3 top bolts holding the inner fender for ease of repair they broke also, same with the inner fender at front of rear wheel well. I was able to get the eight metal speed nuts from advance auto for about 5 dollars. The 8mm bolts I had in my shop.I drilled the holes on the rear fender wells as the 05s are not pre drilled as the 08s are. After drilling the holes I took some por 15 rust preventing paint that I had and and touched up all the inner wells to forstall any rust. For the front flares all holes are there, the OEM instructions Show useing a saw to remove the rivets holding front inner and outer fenders. I took a sharp cold chisel and they came apart quickly and easy. just poke the holes out to remove old rivet pieces. All holes lined up with no problem. The kit has screw rivets to fasten the flares to the door frame where the little stock flare was mounted. They dont seem to spread as much or as tight as the regular oversized rivets. I will be keeping an eye on them to make sure they don't fall out. Total installation took me just over 3 hours, I believe a compentent mechanic could install these Flares in about 1-1/2 hours.
