Default 2008 Level

Hey guys,
I am leveling my Dads 2008 Dakota SXT 4WD. I just ordered 2in spacers from Summit but they can`t find and I can`t find any shocks that anyone makes for the front that are 2in longer than stock. When I leveled my Ram I had to get longer shock because the stock ones topped out really really bad. Is this going to happen on the Dakota? What are you guys doing for shocks?? Stock lengh or longer? If someone makes a longer one does anyone have a part number?

Did you get the spacers that go over the spring or over the strut assembly? If they go over the strut you dont need longer struts. either way nobody makes a longer strut.

Neither style of leveling kit requires a longer strut. The inside the strut kit pretensions the spring to lift the front end and the top of the strut kit simply moves the location of the strut 2 inches down.

I think its the one that go`s on top of the springs. But like you said either way I can`t get longer ones. Thanks for the information! Whats the largest tires I can get with the stock 16 inch wheels?

Thanks again

Thats what I am running with a 2inch daystar level and I still get rub occasionally, but not enough to make me want to hack up my fenders.

Is that around 32"? I'm getting 285-65/17 which is approximately 31.5". I will have a 2" leveling kit so I hope I don't have to hack anything up..
