Yea they are your front body mount bolts so to install the hooks you need to remove your front body mount bolts and then install the longer bolts and brackets that come with the tow hooks.
ouch, sounds like a bitch....maybe I dont want them things afterall..lol
i've heard horror stories about those tow hook bolts and the rubber bushings...can you torch them? Melt the bushings? and....can I have your tow hooks since you wont be needing them anymore??????
hmmm i must have gotten lucky too. i dont remember having to much of a problem with these bolts when i did my body lift. i think they broke loose pretty easy it was just tryin to get keep ahold of them to keepem from spinin. of course i had myself and someone else helping. doin it urself i can see just wanting to cut'em out
Ive heard if you take an impact to them the first time, that is your best shot. Dont mess around with a ratchet or anything; go straight for the impact. Id prolly soak them down with some penetrating lube a day or two ahead of time. I want tow hooks, and Ive got $50 ..... but I dont want to risk not being able to get those bolts out after they have seasoned in this WI climate for 6 years.
