Default KNOCK KNOCK! what is that sound??

this may of double posted, sorry
so i bought my dakota about 2 months ago used from a chevy dealership. i had a knock/squeek that came out of the steering wheel when you turned it. they since fixed that. now i noticed (after the little warranty is up) that when i hit a bump, there is a knock coming out of the steering wheel again. not turning, just hitting bumps at a low-ish speed. also when i crank the wheel and turn left, there is a loud/deep squeek coming out of the front tires....
then to top it off. when i release the brake pedal after coming to a complete stop and then let go to get going, there is like a 'honing' sound coming out....any thoughts/ideas?
i am mechanically inclined but sometimes i can get lost
thanks in advance
oh, and love the site!
one more thing....after coming to a complete stop and i hit the gas...i feel a little kick like the tranny slipped

It could also be the sway bar end links, and/or wheel bearings. Be sure to buy good after market replacement parts. I think that most of the people on here like the MOOG parts. IF i did my research right, most of them are grease-able parts.

Lower ball joints can be done if you have the tools (MOOG makes greasable).
Upper ball joints can be done very easy. You have to buy the entire arm. (Moog has greasable)
Sway bar end links can be done very easy. If you have a 2005 Dakota, and they are the issue.. all aftermarket are larger and better designed (Moog makes them also, no one makes greaseable) if they are trashed just cut them off and forget trying to unbolt them.
Sway bar frame bushing (lots of universal ones are universal) most autoparts stores will have them.

As far as Moog being good well lets see

After 36,000 miles the dealership replaced my lower ball joints 3 times
Replaced the upper arms twice
replaced the sway bar links once
Replaced the front wheel bearings twice
Replaced the tie rod ends once

at 40,000 I replaced everything with greaseable Moog parts. Nothing has failed and I am at 70,000 miles.

Which proves an earlier point I made about replacing factory stuff with factory stuff while under warranty....its going to fail too.
