In mixed driving (45 mile round trip) I tend to get around 14.5 to 15 (You need to understand one thing...there are a bunch of two lane to one lane merges, some at traffic lights, others not. My in-flight entertainment is make sure no one passes me or tries to jump me at a light).

Since the HHR E-fan mod, I picked up 1mpg (and I might add I have been on it pretty hard!)

Next long trip I take, I will see what it does...last time I hit 19..

I am running the 91 SC tune, with 3.55s, 4wd.

It does when u drive 65 miles a day 6 days a week. Right now I'm spending about $80/week in gas but it was over $90 when gas was over $4/gal.

I love my Dakota but I will probably buy a little car just for commuting to work and back.

I just took a trip to the beach this past weekend. Mostly flat roads between here and there. Cruise set on 70. Averaged a whopping 18.1. Thats about as good as it gets for me. One thing they nailed on these trucks was the mileage claim. (14 - 18)

I track all of my mileage and fuel in a spreadsheet and I average 15.5. This is 80% HWY doing 65 MPH no more no less and very little acceleration.

I do have M/Ttires but in didn't seem to affect mileage that much.

My comute is about the same. I started taking an Express Bus (I know not everyone can take a bus or train) so now I only put about 8 miles a day during the work week. The weekend is another story! My kids plays travel softball and baseball so I make up for it then. Sometimes the wife and I are in 2 different cities.

800 mile round trip past weekend, 17.2 MPG all interstate @ 65 MPH average. Down from 20.2 last year over same route but using ethanol laced fuel this year as no stations in my area no longer sell real gas! Bummer!!!!

That would be really nice if I could take public transit to and from work but here, in Cleveland, the public transportation is terrible. You can pretty much get to downtown Cleveland from any of the metropolitan area and back but getting anywhere else is pretty much impossible or not efficient at all. If you can find a route, it will take like 2 hours to get there cuz you will have to change bus lines multiple times.

My sister works downtown and takes a bus from the suburbs. I think it takes her about an hour to get there.

What part of town are you from? I live on the west side and work on the far east side so it's usually a 45 minute drive across the city for me.

We do have a location downtown but I rarely work there cuz our headquarters is nicer and that's where my office is.
