Default 2010+Superchips 3685+trans tuning

I put the truck back to stock, went to the dealer to re-flash the PCM as advised by Superchips to enable buying the trans tuning option. The dealer put it on the computer and said: "There is no update for your truck". I said "Thanks, sorry to waste your time."

I called Superchips back and told them what I had been told previously, and what had transpired at the dealership. I spoke to Chris IIRC. He talked to "One of our Dodge guys" and told me there is no tuning package for the 2010, the quick tunes already have a Superchips modified trans tuning scheme in them.

I really don't notice a difference in the trans tuning from stock to the quick tunes. I've run the 87 and 93 octane tunes, the economy tune also. I'm a bit frustrated, and feel like I've gotten a bit of a run around.

I've posted this issue in the SC forum: https://www.superchips.com/forum/vie...p=53390#p53390

The trans tuning is in the advanced tuning option. Did you check that?

Yeah, it took me forever to find mine after I installed the trans package.

Even with the quick tune you should be able to feel a difference in the shifting. For example, stock mine would shift from 1 to 2 at 2k rpm driving normal; now its shifts from 1 to 2 at 3k with the superchips shift schedule.

They do have a trans package for the 2010s, I have it installed on mine. You may want to call and ask them again.

Reply from Ron @ SuperChips:

"Ok, Let me take it from here.

It may take a few days to a week, but I will get an answer for sure. At this point talking with the calibrator we think that this can be fixed.

As for what the dealer is telling you is wrong and right in the same breath.

Wrong that their is dozens of programs for the 2010 V-8 dakotas, more revisions.

Right in the fact that he can not just update the trans alone, meaning it is all one.

Either way, I will get it sorted out.

What is the tuners serial number?

Ron"

SC called me late this afternoon with the updated program available for download. I only had time to make some WOT Torque Management adjustments, but I can trans tune now. As far as I'm concerned, customer service was awesome. Now i just have to tinker with the trans settings. Any other 2010 owners who have done this, I'm all ears.

That's great, one of the few positive comments about superchips.
