06 Dakota Missing/sputtering
I did clean the throttle body and check for vacuum leaks. I thought it was fairly clean until I removed it. It did need a good cleaning. Performance picked up after that, and I found no vacuum leaks. I think it is slightly better, but I still have this slight chugging/almost clicking/missing sound when I start up, warm up. It also wants to sometimes kill at stop signs. It's just barely kills though. The noise is now hardly ever heard when the vehicle is warmed up good, but the killing at the stop sign happens randomly.
I went over the vacuum hoses, intake manifold and anything else I could think of, checking for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner. I found no leaks.
Thanks again for all your advice.

Have you tried reseting the computer by unhooking the positive side of the battery overnight?
Also do you have the A/C on when it feels like its gonna die? A/C bearing might be going.

I haven't reset the computer since cleaning the throttle body, I''ll give it a try. I dont think the ac pulley is an issue. I usually test and listen to it without the ac on. Also, the noise when idling, and standing next to the engine, doesnt sound like it is coming from the pulleys, belt, alt, etc. Thanks for the reply.
Thanks, Good point. I wondered about that as well. I will get on it in a day or two when I can pull it off again. The truck is running better since cleaning the throttle body, but still has some signs of the missing thing going on. It will be interesting to see if this takes the rest out.
I have wondered about this. Down the road, I am considering taking a new coil and slowly changing it out with each cylinder, to see if it makes a difference. How did you dignose which coils were bad? Did the codes identify these? thanks
I did get the IAC idle control off and cleaned. It was fairly good from the throttle body cleaning, but I did clean it some more. Once again, performance as far as acceleration is good/better, but the miss still sneaks in randomly
