Default 2009 mods (2008 + only!)

I've read a lot of threads on the 3rd gen Dakotas, but inevitably people respond who have 2007 or earlier trucks. Nothing wrong with that, however I'm looking for specific owner experiences with the later models as there are some differences.

Mine is a 2009 4.7 auto SXT 4x4. I'm considering doing a CAI, Superchip and Magnaflow cat-back dual exhaust. I'd like to get rid of the 2nd gear flat spot, and give it a little more power if possible, and would like to hear a little more of the v8 I also have to keep it emissions passable, or at least easy to return to stock condition and passable.

Has anyone done these mods? Is the Superchip worth the money or even applicable? I've read different reports some saying that there is little benefit for the 2008+ models.

Some early threads I've read also indicated that Magnaflow system did not fit 2008+ models because of different size muffler inlet pipe size. I believe that has been rectified with the 15523 part number kit. Is this true?

I'm also looking at putting some Ram 20" wheels and 275/45R20 tires on at some point.

Any comments or advice?

Thanks

Superchips was the best mod for me, huge gains in power all over, lots of cool features that improve not only hp, but transmission control ie: shift points, rpm, firmness, etc.

Exhaust didn't net me any gains, just cool sound.

CAI pretty much the same.

Fastman throttle body, slight gain but not really worth it IMHO.

Start with superchips high octane tune and you will be happy.

+1 for the Superchips with the Trans tuning option!.
K&N CAI, pricey, but a nice product.
I went with a Borla muffler and a Moroso Sipralflex resonator.

I have an 08 4.7 V8 quad cab Laramie....... I just finished my set up.
Im running the K&N cai, it is pricey...but worth it.....
Exhaust....is the gibson swept side # 316599.....LOVE IT...nice deep rumble, and not loud in the cab....
Superchips tunner........worth every penny....

I shopped and shopped around and found great deals on everything.....the fourms classifed section is a great place to start.

Thanks guys. I found a Magnaflow on eBay for about $450 including shipping to US. Just have to do some searching for the Superchips tuner and CAI.
