Window Visors
Hello,
I was looking to get some EGR in channel window visors for my 2006 dodge dakota. I was wondering if any one had any pictures of their window visors and the cost and where you got them.
Thanks

I have the regular ones on the outside stuck to the door. Mine are factory Mopar ones, also got the Rear suicide door ones to
check my garage, the ones I have now are the tape-on ones. I just got the in-channel ones last week, I will post pics and then you can see the difference. The in-channel ones are just a cleaner install. the tape-on ones cover over a portion of the door frame.
I have the in channel ones...do yourself a favor...
Go to racemart.com, get the price of the item you want (they will be the cheapest ANYWHERE)...then call up autoanything.com (must call..not order online).
They will beat the price!
I got mine for 20 something dollars...
If they say they cannot get to racemart.com when you speak to them..I think they blocked the site from their agents because they cannot compete with them...don't cave in..and tell them you get free shipping as well.

I went with the Weathertech in channel smoked visors. They fit great, work great, excellent product. The best thing is they don't mess up the rubber trim like the glue on ones due, I can remove them without any damage. You can see pics on their website, they fit right in on the truck, don't stick out.

I got the in-channel Vent Visors for one of my Neons. It is a cleaner install but, the gap is very narrow when the window is rolled down above the bottom of the visor. I took them off and installed them with 3M tape on the outside... much better airflow. The Dakota has Mopar dealer installed visors on the window frame.
I took off the Mopar stick on visor and replaced them with the EGR in channels. The look is so much better, IMO. I got them from Amazon, I think it was $52 (it was a while ago).

I've got in channels on mine that you can see in my garage. It's dark here so I'll try to remember to get up close pix tomorrow. I'm not impressed, they wiggle when I raise and lower windows & are loose near the mirrors. I do like how they are easier to see through than the ones I had on my old truck.
The ones I have now are Putco's, previous owner install.
I think I had AVS's on the old truck for about 3 years. They were 3m taped, I think, held solid through winter storms, car washes, & back woods tree branch pushing.
After getting weathertech floormats they are on my 'quality products' company list. Plus the mats are U.S. made so the rest of their stuff might be too, but I'd have to look.
If I replace the ones I have I will stay with a lighter color & I think the outer ones allow better airflow.
