Default Mickey Thompsons have pressure sensors?

This tpms thingy has really complicated my wheel selection. Not only do I have to worry about if they come with one, I have to make sure they talk to the warning light. Like Mickeys but not sure if they have them.

The sensors are attached to the rim by a band or the valve stem, I'm not sure which the Dakotas have. No tire or rim will come with sensors. You either have to buy them or swap the ones in your current wheels to the new rims. And they can be installed in any new rims.

I heard the normal PLASTIC valve caps can cause the wheel sensors to go bad early/quicker. But Aluminum ones dont.
Not sure if it does or not, Mine doesnt have them, But I do got Aluminum caps anyways lol

ok when you take the new wheels to the tire shop they will transfer over the tpms sensors from your old wheels to the new ones you can get any wheel you want and the sensors will swap over i did this several times while working at a tire shop and you dont want to use brass cores in the sensors as they will corode and cause issues the nickel ones will not

If you have a Superchips, you can just turn the TPMS off. I find the TPMS to just be annoying in any car that I have had the warning in. I know what a tire low on air/flat feels and looks like, I don't need the dash board to light up if I get one. Just my .02

100% agree. Just one more thing to break. I did not even know until now that tpms was mandated by law under Clinton. Why am I not surprised.

I picked American Racing wheels over at Tire Rack but it said this:

"The wheel you have selected is not designed to accept tire pressure monitoring system sensors"

Which I take it to mean they are not willing to sell them to me.
