I towed my wifes Saturn L200 (2900 pounds) on a uhaul car trailer (2000 pounds) from the west side of phoenix az to austin tx via el paso and I 3.55 gears. My truck did ok the mountains outside el paso were a bit of a b!tch but not too bad I was able to keep it at about 55 going up most of the mountains.

Just be ware what you have licensed your truck for, Mine is licensed for 12k overall

With just your truck and the chevy, you are near or over that, plus trailer and spare parts. Dont get pulled over.

If you get pulled over and your setup is over weight then they could fine you for it.
