So what does everyone think of the new F150's?
I'm about to jump into some suspension mods in my dak but if this is legit I'm gonna hold off for the real deal...
If this is really the "jack my ride" final product, there needs to be some testimonials or something, warranty? videos of the suspension in action, web site.....IS IT ACTUALLY FOR SALE???? or else this is just a one off fab that we would all love to have but it was only done once and thats it...
if a lift is really the only thing your looking for in keeping your raider....and you have 8 grand laying around....
wouldn't it make sense to the normal individual to take the truck to a custom suspension shop with 8 grand in hand and say make me a lift???
and everyone wants testimonials for a custom lift kit for a unicorn truck. if everyone sat around waiting for testimonials....whos going to buy a lift?
im not flaming anyone on here. but you guys want a pos rancho off the shelf lift and its not going to happen. ever. any kind of suspension mod to these trucks is going to be custom and not something that 5 or 6 people could write an internet testimonial to. if all you guys SERIOUSLY had the money on hand like alot of you say you do. than get your trucks built how you want them. after bills and school, im pulling maybe 200 a month to use as fun money and ive got more suspension work and test fitting done than most companies ever will for the 3rd gen daks.
as i said in another thread. its great you guys are rolling in dough and yea you can say your interested and you want to buy it. but now look. someone made a diff drop, crossmember lift, and now everyone is gun shy and scared and doesnt want to put something custom on their trucks. getting it from someone with or without warranties and with or without test videos or testimonials is the same thing. theres still someone out there that has to buy the first one and go from there. word of mouth is the only sales pitch that works these days. well someone buy the ONLY "kit" available, beat the crap out of it and brag about it on here so everyone else knows that its worth it. or burn 2 grand on some scrap metal and that didnt work and now you know and can tell others. the only person youll get testimonials and test stuff from is the owner (only person who actually owns the lift)
end rant

Just because I have that money doesn't mean I want to **** it away on something that will break in my casual usage. I want the lift to look good and, function if I need it too.
Oh no! I wasn't referring to aim, I was referring to this jmr place that dakkkota is representing. I think with 8 grand you could ship your truck to the west coast were the real race shops are and have them whip you up something sexy. I'll ask around the race guys and see if there is a place in FL.
But the way I see it. With the "jmr" thing. There Is no reputation good or bad so it's not like you would avoid something like that lol

Oh, I know that you weren't suggesting AIM Industries, I was just saying they had one as well. JMR, there is no website, there are no reviews. It's almost like throwing my money at something and hoping it works. If I did that, I wouldn't have the 8K in my savings. :-D

there is only 2 kinds of people that you will run into with lifts already on the 3rd gen dakotas. the 1st kind, the ones that made them in their own garages and dont want to make them for others. and the 2nd, the ones that spent more than the truck is worth at a shop to make a custom one and that shop wont do it again, or people dont have that kind of money
I can weld, I just don't know all the intricacies when it comes to making a lift. Angles and math are not my strong points.
There are also the third kind of people. The one's who make sure they get vehicles with aftermarket lift kits from reputable companies. Now with all the medium sized trucks heading out of the market, any truck that we get after our DAKS/Raiders will more than likely have multiple kits to choose from.
