What ever you decide to purchase make sure they come with the mounting brackets. Not all of them do.

Mine are the Mopar ones, found a brand new pair on my local CL for $200. I like how they mount up better than the after market ones.

My opinion is that you need chrome to match your wheels.

yes, definitely chrome. There is a set on CL here that came off an 01 Dakota but the guy wont answer email, text or phone calls....I have that happen so many times with people who advertise on CL. P!sses me off...if you want to sell something and list a phone number and say call or text, then at least answer...rant over. lol

I dunno, I've had seven full size trucks in my life, lifted all but two and had nerfs on those. Every time I bought an inexpensive set I regretted it. Weak, pitting chrome, rust and even had a step pad fly off on the interstate. Have had two sets of Westins and they've stayed perfect, never bent or sagged, never a hint of rust or chrome issues. This is one mod I pay the extra for as I've learned a couple times over...

I agree that you don't want the cheapest set that you can get, kinda my opinion on just about everything.
But I would definitely suggest buying them new, any used bars are bound to be beat up a bit.

UWS's, came free with purchase of truck, no installation required.

Their main site does not appear to list them anymore, this site seems to have a good description of the parts and setup I believe I have.

I bought a set on Ebay for under $200 shipped to my door in Canada (seller was in the US) They paid Customs fees to.
They are warrantied (atleast the selling put in the add, its a company) that they wont rush, chip, ect. Also that the plastic is UV resistant.
They are Stainless Steel, with steel mounting hardware.
The brackets are Body mount ones with support bars that bolt to the frame
