Personally I would not do a flush, that can just cause more problems down the road. Just do a drain, replace filters (with MOPAR filters only) and refill with whatever came out when the pan was removed. Aamco charged me $120 for that service. They said if it looked like it needed to be flushed we could discuss, but it did not. Rear diff you could do yourself.

The only flush that I consider safe is a low pressure direct transfer, using the transmission pump that will transfer the old fluid out and the new fluid in. If you are having a shop do this, I would ask what they use.

Make sure to use AFT4

I think its kinda pointless to drop the pan, leaving a lot of old fluid in the trans and just adding a what was removed.

I would use OEM filters. They are not that expensive. I know others have not had issues with aftermarket ones, but that's just my 2 cents.

Kinda like a half empty gallon of spoiled milk, you wouldn't go buy a half gallon of fresh milk and dump it into the spoiled milk to top it off.

my mechanic recommended that i do not touch my tranny because every dodge that he has seen that has had a tranny service the tranny went south withing 20000kms.

definitely scares me.....i want to get mine serviced but i am also scared of something screwing up after a service.

I have 70,000 miles, 3 low pressure flushes and 3 filter changes. No issues what so ever. Still shifts just as well as day 1.

Ive done 2 fluid changes (1 was a flush) since 86k on my 05. Idk how often it was changed before that. But my truck shifts better than a lot of other high mileage automatics that Ive been in. I hate when transmissions clunk and shimmy in and out of gears.

The transmission and differential use RTV for sealing. Works pretty well, but if you prefer a gasket, Napa makes them I believe.
