Default Decisions, decisions – need advice!

I bought my truck a couple months ago and am very happy with it so far, but she needs some love. The shocks are blown, tires are getting bald and I want more clearance for off-road. I would love to get a nice long-travel, true suspension lift on there but it seems like there is a lot of uncertainty about when and if that is going to happen for our 3rd gen Daks.

So last week I pretty much made up my mind to install the front leveling kit, replace shocks and struts and maybe do a 1-2” block lift in the back. I even ordered my leveling kit but it’s still sitting in the box while I come to a decision. So level the front, slap on some 32” tires with my stock rims and let that get me through until something really great comes along for a suspension lift. But then I got to thinking that I would have to spend money to replace my shocks again and would probably want bigger tires (35” and also new wheels) whenever that 4-6” suspension lift comes out. So basically, I don’t want to drop like $1500 for new shocks and tires just to have to replace all that if a kit comes out in six months. And I am really going to need some new tires on there before winter hits so I need to figure this out soon.

So what are your thoughts? Is this kit actually going to happen and should I hold off and keep hoping or just go ahead with my planned mods?

Unless you're going to be one of the guinea pigs on the possible lift, there is no way you'll have it before winter, IMO.
You'd be better off getting some new shocks (& leveling kit) and rubber before winter if you really need them.
And I've seen enough Colorado winters to know if you probably need them, you better get them.

its taken 6 months to get this far, on a prototype... It is, however, looking a lot better than the original stuff the dude posted.
