I just dont think that they properly prepare the metal before it gets painted.

It can't hurt to bring it in, as long as you within the 5 yr/100,000 miles.

I said all this about the rust years ago on this site and you just called me an un-loyal MoPar owner and a complainer. Well these POS among many other things premature rust like crazy. Some have over the rear wheel well box rest and just about EVERY Dakota has the front cross support and radiator support rust even before they left the dealer lot. Dodge knows all to well about this and so do your dealers and yet Dodge did absolutely nothing to change this at the factory. They don’t have the money or care about their products and their customers. My dealer once had the ***** to say to me when I complained about the front support rust “””Where do you live near the ocean?”” So in other words if you live anywhere by an ocean or just about anywhere on any coast say within a mile or a few blocks you should not consider a Chrysler product? By the way I do not live anywhere close to the Ocean and it rusted so bad in the first year that they sent it to a body shop to blast seal and paint the front body and radiator supports and yes they are rusting again. My oil pan is almost rust through and my transmission coolant line are badly rust and will need to be replaced this year. The truck is only four years old and might thing is was ten years old and this thing is babied. NO MORE MOCARP!

I'm not one to be racist towards other brands but I should have stuck with my original brand. My truck sounds just like yours all the trans cooler lines rusting, trust me I believe you on this one. Dodge really f-ed up this time the metal has to be from china. I want to get this repaired and move on. Pretty upsetting to spent 25k and rust out in 4 years. This truck has been nothing but a problem. Time to sell. And I don't live by the ocean, about 20 miles from it . So I'll make the appointment see what happens I'll keep everyone informed as to what dodge says. Time for a new blue oval!
