Default thinking of getting a leveling kit (also suspension parts/tires)

i got some extra cash that is burning a hole in my pocket and i figured i should spend it something i need, just needed to know if im buying the correct stuff, i need front/rear shocks and needed to know if i even needed the strut mounts or not

Vj9SE.gif

ALSO i figured while im at it and getting the stuff installed, might as well get a leveling kit. i read the inside strut leveling kits cause premature wear on suspension components but the over strut kits do not? i want to go with a 2 inch leveling kit but just unsure which to get.
(was looking at this one http://www.roughcountry.com/dodge_2w..._leveling.html )

i currently have 275/60r17 size tires (factory chrome rims) and i need to get some new tires. i like the width of the tires i currently have but dont know if they will look funny with the leveling kit, so i am looking for some suggestions. i wanted some with a little bit more of a tougher look but not spend a fortune on them. i was looking at some online for some and found the price range to rest between 600-900 for all 4 tires.

ps: i know this has been discussed like a **** but id rather ask all my questions in 1 thread instead of reviving 3 old threads

I personally have a Daystar 2" leveling kit. My truck's a 4x4 though. I hear that the 1.5" levelers are a little better from reading on here a little bit. And I definitely have heard great things on the Ranchos, thinking about going for a set when I get the $. I also have some Cooper Discoverer STT's on there right now, but I don't believe they'll last very long. They're 265 70R16s. Look good though.

Ranchos all around here with the trail master 1.5 leveling kit. Love the setup.

Daystar 2" over the strut leveling kit. 265/70-17 tires. Monroe struts. I did not install new mounts

over the strut kit is the way to go.. pretty easy to install. a little nerve racking if its your first time (but what isn't), and after 15k miles i haven't noticed a problem.

Daystar 2" leveling kit, Ranchos all the way around, leaf helpers in the rear. I love my setup.

Tire-wise, some more information on the type of terrain you will be seeing would help. If you are looking for an All-terrain tire, or mud terrain, street, it would help my suggestion.

I have the Goodyear Wrangler Authority A/Ts, but they are more like a mud terrain. I absolutely love them. I have 32K on them so far, and about 50% tread left.
