I'm running Merit All Country Radial LXTs for the winter, had them for a couple years now. Very similar tread pattern to the BFG ATs but they were much cheaper. Might be a good buy if you can find them. They do pretty well in the snow, rain and dry performance sucks compare to the Hankook Ventus ST RH06's though (as expected, those are my summer tires, not worth a crap in the winter ).

I have it narrowed down to these three choices:
Firestone Destination A/T
Cooper Discoverer A/T3
Hankook Dynapro ATM

You will like the ride with the firestone's but the hankooks will look cooler.

My truck has a conservative look. I'm not sure if the Hankook's would look ok on it. They might look a little "too much". I really like them, but unfortunately, I have a plain truck.

I JUST got the Firestone's so I cant speak for longevity, but man it's a quiet ride. I do know that JKeaton had them on his truck before and he said they were a good tire. I think I'm in about 700 with 4 tires and lifetime rotate and balance and no road hazard. I also took advantage of the 6 months no interest thing too.

My area Firestone dealer quoted me $812.23 with all of the other add ons. It would be about $625 without the extras.

Farm & Fleet has the Cooper Discoverer A/T3's installed for about the same price. I think that also includes a $75 Visa card as well.

thats basically what a lot of us have. should work pretty good but i would be worried that would collapse. most of us have the type that's like solid billet aluminum.

So, would these be better? I assume that they are solid.
