255/80R17? i have 3'' body and 2'' level/blocks I'm going to regear to either 4.10 or most likely 4.56 willing to do some trimming. just curious

Those tires would work well. Basically the same diameter as the 285/70-17's I am running but a bit narrower. The 33" tire and the 4.56 gears is a pretty good combination. I was out for the maiden voyage on Sunday, 60mph - 2000rpm, 70mph -2200rpm. Not too bad I thought.

so we shouldnt have any rubbing issues? and how do you think it would be with the v6? i do a good bit of highway driving too as well as towing. what are you seeing for mileage? im just trying to deciede on those tires with 4.56 or the 255/75/17 with 4.56 or 4.10s.thanks sleds!

Looks like im getting a pair of 285/75/17's for free of one of the 3500's used for about a year. will these fit it looks like only an inch wider and almost an inch taller... do i need wheel spacers? thanks boys!

im running 285/75/16 and they fit but the inner fenders and a little bit of the bumper needs to be trimmed. nothing major.

I wonder what that size will do to the 3.7L before you regear, it is already slow lol
