For anyone looking for an extra key fob
The new key works perfect. Only 1 key needed to program the new non-transponder key. You will need all the keys with you though while programming.
On a side note, I picked up new batteries for my existing key fobs just because the batteries are now 6 years old and i thought i would need to reprogram the keys after replacing the batteries but they still worked. I only had the battery out for a few seconds though.

I have a red light in the UPPER right hand corner.
Is it the light that the red arrow is pointing to or is it the spot where the yellow arrow is pointing?

Honestly I thought it was on the lower right, but it could be where your other arrow is pointing. There are two ways to know for sure. Plug in the Mopar part number on the back of your key in to eBay. If you do have the transponder, it will only pull up keys that will work. Otherwise if you take the key to a hardware store, most have readers that will tell you if theres a transponder in the key. The Ace that I work at doesn't charge to just tell you.
I received my new fob from an Ebay dealer. I just entered the part number in the search area.
I took it to Ace to get it cut but it wouldn't fit in their machine, so I took it to my local Dodge dealer. He cut it and made sure it worked. Didn't charge me a penny for it either!
Now I'm going to order another one because my original second one isn't working either. I've tried new batteries and fixed the broken solders on both of them. One is completely dead. The other is intermittent.
I wish that I could just use a key like we used to in "the olden days".

"...The sodler on the contacts for the battery are known to crack and cause issues..."
The connections are prone to breakage, especially if they are dropped. After being quoted $69.95 to repair (re-solder) my key, I did it myself using a cold solder gun. It does take good eyesight, patience, and a steady hand.

Hi, I only have one key for my truck, and it seems like it's not one of the Sentry/Transponder keys. I didn't see a red light in the bottom right corner when I turned the vehicle on, and I put my P/N (56040649AD) into ebay and it came back with this:

My understanding is I should be able to order this key and then program it with my single key and then get it cut, right?
