Shifting Issues

Default Shifting Issues

OK i have a 2007 dakota 4.7 with 42000 miles on her,my question is,first off this doesnt happen all the time but anyhow when ever im coming to a stop or slowing down when the transmisson shifts down to lowest gear,automatic trans,it kinda like shifts hard with like a bump,then its ok ???Any help will be great

I'm not sure if it's ok or not, but mine does that as well and i have a 2009, 3.7, 70k miles

mine is a little jerky soemtimes when shifting from 2-3 or 3-2, same as yours it doesnt happen all the time but occasionally.

Under the same conditions, especially first thing in the morning, mine won't "freewheel" and stalls when I stop at the end of my street. My feeling is that the lock-up TC has locked up (in the 100 or so feet from my driveway) and won't unlock. Restart and it is fine after that.
