Question Which Strut/Shock Setup ???

Im getting ready to install my lift 2in left/level kit on my 08 Dak Larmie 4x4 V8. Im trying to decide which Strut/Shock setup to go with.

Im torn between Monroe ---71100 for the front, and 58650 load shocks for the rear.
or
Rancho--- Rs5315 for the rear and RS5757 for the front.

Keep in mind ido tow a car trailer a few times a month, and for off roading not that often, just some mudd rutting here or there when we get some good rain. lol

JUst want to see what everybody else is running and there thoghts on them .

Sorry if this topic has been beat to death.

I'm running RS5000 series shocks and struts and wouldn't trade them for anything. I am also running a 1.5" in the strut spacer up front. It makes it a firm ride, but Im young and adjusted just fine.

I had Monroe Reflex shocks in the rear and blew one of them out. I switched to Rancho and wouldn't go back. I wouldn't say the ride is firmer with them, but the shocks do a better job at absorbing while still keeping the tires and axle from hopping.

For all we know, one company could outsource the other's struts and shocks with this truck....

Either way, both the monroes and the ranchos are considered the better choice. Cheaper options are now here as well in the form of KYB and other brands.

It costs a lot to have a shop change the front struts. Spend the money on products that DF members can stand behind. I run Rancho 5000's all around. Only other I would say is true tested is Monroe.

Ranchos in the front and Belltechs in the back here but I have the 2" rear lowering shackles installed. Very happy with the combination.

Monroe is cheap jobber stuff, rancho (made by monroe) are prone to rusting and seizing...the last one i had lasted less than 2 years cuz of rust. KYB are quality built and lifetime warranty. The KYB worked out to be the same price as monroe and the ride quality is awesome compared to OEM.
