Programmer questions
Ok not to
but, I've been looking for a tuner for my 07 3.7L that is actually gonna work. I emailed hemifever and local programmer, just waiting for a reply. I also saw the Hypertech Max Energy Programmer. Hypertech boasts 24hp & 24 ft lbs. I did a search on the hypertech but didn't find anything on the 3rd gen dakota forum. Does anyone have any insight on any of these tuners? Anything would help. thanks guys.
i got my superchips tuner. does everything i need it to. clears codes, sets tire sizes and gear ratios, mileage saver all the way up to 91 hold on tight tune. and computer support. and it was pretty reasonably priced.
Got a reply from hemifever and the local guy. Looks like the hypertech is the only option. Hemifever doesn't have anything for 3.7l later than 06 and the local guy wants $600 for a tune. Thanks for the input guys.
Yeah according to their website hypertech will boost 24hp and 24ft lbs. Once I get it....after I get the $370 that is...I'm sure I'll have some questions about the shift points and just about everything else for it. I was psyched when I was able to add a sig pic and look how well that turned out HaHa. But after doing alittle more research the Hypertech Max Energy seem pretty legit.
so you CAN get a tuner for the 3.7? you said hemifever cant do anything above 06..you got an 07...splain please...

So, this is your only choice, I'm guessing (2007-2010 3.7 Dakota).
Didn't Sully just sell one of these that he used on his Raider?

You may find this cheaper elsewhere.

Yeah he did. I didn't see the thread until it was gone already. Thats actually what made me start looking into my options for programmers. Seems that murphys law holds true again.
So does anyone else have the hypertech max energy? Before I get it I'm curious to what tunes would optimize performance and mileage. Computers are not my strong point and I don't wanna spend almost $400 and lose power/gas mileage. I've tried to find some info online and I'm not getting anywhere. I can't find anything about Dakotas, Go Figure right? Any suggestions would be a huge help in making a decision to buy the programmer or not.
