Installing aftermarket fog lights and found the wires by the bumper to hook up to the lights, verified the fuse is there for the fog lights but can't figure out where to tap into the dash for the switch, any tips? 2007 dakota sl. Thanks!

welcome to the forum! are you asking about tapping into the existing light switch to use for the foglights or getting power for a separate switch? Not sure what you mean by "tap into the dash for the switch".

The stock foglight switch is the dial that you turn for headlights. You just push it in. Unfortunately, if you didn't have stock foglights then you don't have that version of the switch. I found one cheap on ebay and just switched it out.

Nice truck!!!

I think you also have to have the dealer enable the fog lights with a starscan tool.

Okay guys, sounds like it would be more work to use the stock wiring than to just send my aftermarkets through a spot in the firewall. Thanks for the quick responses!

Stock are easy! You only need the aftermarket fogs and a OE Foglight/Headlight switch.
Then go to the dealer and they have to starscan it and turn them on. VERY easy I did it to mine. Hardest part was finding the OE Switch that would ship to Canada

Only part you need is the switch, and to get them turned on.

I kept the old Bumper cover for now.

Here is a switch with fogs that will work for you.
It has the automatic headlight too, but that's pretty much useless.
