I am having a jerking when truck is cold going from 1st to 2nd. sometimes also 2nd to 3rd. Only does it once per day just when truck is first started after sitting overnight. Anyone else heard of this? I only have 36,000 KMS on my truck. What should I do? EDIT: Its Automatic by the way
well it could be a lot of things. is it like the transmission is shifting real hard or is it like the engine is misfiring/stumbling? Have you checked the transmission fluid level/condition? Does it do this in the summer as well or just start now that it's getting cold?
It just started when it got cold. I have only had the truck since July this year. I still have warranty. Its not like a misfire in the engine I think its tranny related. I suppose I will check the fluid. I bought the truck from a dealer so its not like a truck that has not been maintained. We have all the maintenance records. I can always take it back to the dealer but I am feeling like it probably wont do it when I take it there unless its there overnight
I have all my torque management values at 1.6% and I still dont have any "neck snapping" shifts...hot or cold...If I'm making a WOT run, it will shift firmly and quickly but nothing drastic enough to be considered neck snapping. I had an s-10 once that had really hard shifting between 1st and 2nd and it turned out to be a bad transmission. I guess I'm going to have to install a shift kit in mine to get it like I want it.
