Default Prep work

For those who have bed lined their chrome grill, rocker panels, and bumpers, what kind of prep work is needed. I've heard its totally different with the grill than just sanding and painting it. I would not like it to chip on me.

I painted my grill with plastidip. I didn't do anything for prep work minus make sure the grill was clean before I started. I did it in July and it still looks awsome.

I havent done the grill thing, but a scotch brite pad to scuff it up quite a bit, followed by mineral spirits will prep it really well. those two alone should be pretty good for paint adhesion

Also make sure that you apply it in a warm dry place, when things are painted in the cold they don't tend to last as long.

Agreed.

The biggest isue Ive had with spraycans is when I try to spray everything at once.

Spray lightly about 6-8" away, wait for it to dry and the second coat will adhere beautifully to the first one.

I have that same problem. I have to go do something else while I wait for it to dry.
