gas cap light

Default gas cap light

naturally one month after warranty expired, the gas cap light came on will not reset.replaced cap and soleniod but will not stay out.can anyone point me in the right direction???????:icon_ neutral:

Welcome to DF! there have been several threads on this issue but I cannot find them. I do know that aftermarket gas caps do not work very well. I remember reading you have to get a mopar one from the dealer. Someone else will hopefully chime in.

If you cannot figure it out
Take it back to the dealership
Ask polite to see a manager
Be nice and explain that the situation
Ask them if they will do a one time, parts only cost to you out of warranty.

I have done this twice at 2 different dealerships even after 4000 past warranty worked like a charm.

You mean treating people like humans that are at least as deserving of respect as you are works? Say it ain't so!

You have to go in yelling and screaming to get anything done, don't you?
