HIDs and they work well!
So I took the risk and got HID kits for my headlights and also my fogs. For the headlights I bought the CANBUS 35w kit from HIDextra on Black Friday for half off ($75) shipped. Yes, it is expensive but I figured this kit would be plug and play with the Dodge trucks. Well, I was wrong and after turning them on once they wouldnt turn on again until I let the truck sit for awhile (probably once the PCM enters sleep mode). Anyways, I tried to put capacitors in to fix this problem and had the same issue as before. So i drove around for a month without being able to shut off my lights once they were on and not being able to flash high beams at traffic etc. My neighbor has a Ram and picked up a wiring harness with a relay and resisitors in it and it seems to fix the problem for our CANBUS operated headlight system. His lights work perfectly now. I plan on installing my harness this afternoon hopefully. For the fogs, those are not CANBUS so I just bought a simple $32 kit off ebay and it was plug and play, just the ballasts and bulbs needed. I went with 8000k's all around because thats just my personal preference. Not too white and not too rice!

Looks good. so the fogs were plug and play? no relays, etc required? I got so frustrated with my HID headlights, trying to get them to work right, i gave up BUT...if the fogs are plug and play, I might try them. I would like more light out front. Are the HID fogs that much brighter than stock? You got a link to the ones you bought?
Thanks Kent, yeah the headlights were a PITA and I still haven't installed that harness but hopefully it works out. The fogs are plug and play yes..didn't work at first but thats because I had to unplug and reverse the polarity on them (just plugged the OEM headlight harness backwards into the ballast so the hot and ground were reversed). Anyways, yes they are MUCH brighter than the Silverstars I used to have. It's like I am driving in the daylight with this setup now..and I just added the fogs two days ago. Here is a link
